Projected Benefits

On this page, the Math Factory Working Group collects information about the benefits the Museum will have to education and to society in general.  Please add references to articles on the web or in other media, as well as scientific studies on the need/importance of mathematics education.

• The National Commission on Mathematics and Science Teaching issued a report in 2000 entitled "Before It's Too Late" identifying impending shortages in math and science teachers and proposing ways to alleviate that shortage.  The report is avaiable at www.ed.gov/inits/Math/glenn/index.html
